Drying out

Our most successful venture this gardening year, out of all we planted, has been the amount of Serrano peppers our plant produced. I looked up how to dry them in order to preserve them because, lets face it, I will NOT eat that many fresh peppers! There are many ways to dry them including: in the oven, in a food dehydrator, indoors (which apparently, you need a lot of ventilation for), or outside, which we chose. It will take approximately 2 weeks for them to reach appropriate dryness, then we will be able to store them, hopefully, for years, crushing them as needed for a multitude of recipes! Cross your fingers!
