About Sara Elizabeth

A Photographer, Painter, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Mother of Fur-babies; lover of all things hand-crafted, flowers, coffee, tea, back-lighting, the beach, the sky, carefree days and time-forgotten settings.   You will find many of these things represented through my work.

Born in Ohio, I moved with my family to Indiana, to Florida, then finally to North Carolina, all before I was 14.  As I got older, drawing and painting became an interest in school and in my senior year of high school Photography was introduced.

CZ473816difusedIt was a match made in heaven.  It was exciting and nerve-wracking all at the same time to wait for that latent image to appear.  Studying and learning about light, composition and the properties that make a good photograph was invaluable.  I applied these teachings as I studied Photography at Appalachian State in Boone, NC, coming away with a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography.

I have worked for the past 10 years in the Portrait industry, covering any and all aspects of the business.  I have worked for myself as well as others, gaining real world experience working with individual clients and organizations.  Now I am expanding my repertoire, taking on the challenge of Graphic Design and also going back to my roots with drawing and painting, all of which are examples of what you may find here.  If you are interested in having me photograph your event or having a portrait session with me, simply click the “CONTACT” link above and shoot me a message!  I am also happy to take on commissions for drawing, painting or conceptual portraits.

CZ473812difusedThank your for stopping by and listening to me go on and on about me  🙂  If you haven’t had enough, you can also find me on Facebook, Twitter.  Enjoy!
